Preston Lead Alternative

This roof in Preston, Lancashire needed an alternative to its existing lead panel roofing. The work extended over relatively small areas on two levels, including an irregularly shaped area to the fore.

This was both quick and straightforward for the polymer system - also known as "liquid lead" it easily coated the problem areas, providing a fully waterproof and weatherproof jointless, seamless new roof for the area in only a few hours.

The owners of this porch roof in rural Stoke Golding in Leicestershire needed a warm roof but also wanted the traditional lead look for their property.

Stratford-upon-Avon, Walk-on Warm Roof

This building at Stratford-upon-Avon in Warwickshire required a warm roof with a u value of .13 in order to compensate for an unusually large surface area of glass below (from patio doors & other glass elavations).

The system insulation was 220mm thick, fully adhered, and did not need an extra layer of ply decking to sandwich the insulation, as the insulation we used is specially manufactured to be walked on for limited access without damage.

Liquid Roof in Stow-on-the-Wold, Cotswolds, Gloucestershire

We were contacted by another roofing contractor about this semi-detached roof in Stow-on-the-Wold in the Cotswolds, Gloucestershire. At one end, the fibreglass roof was leaking and at the adjacent gable end, the felt roof was leaking.

The two sections, 18m2 and 25m2 needed slightly different treatment. The 25m2 area already held mineral capsheet but was pooling water on top of that, which was seeping through the cracked material. This roof area simply needed overlaying with Liquid Plastic, rendering it jointless, seamless, watertight and weatherproof.

Polymer Roofing a Parapet Wall in Upton, Northampton

This flat roof area in Upton, Northampton included well constructed internal parapet wall detailing. Despite the excellent workmanship, however, the occasional need to stand up to excessive rainfall and high winds had not been factored into the design, meaning that the outside edges (7m2 per elevation) were pouring too much rain water onto the window sills below.

Bedroom Balcony in Bristol

This new balcony roof in Alveston, Bristol was created to access upper bedrooms after a sizeable extension had been built for the downstairs.

After pressure washing and preparation, the balcony roof was waterproofed with a liquid plastic decothane omegane system, which was applied to the roof deck, parapet walls, parapet top, and railing upstands, wrapping the roof completely. Following this the coping stones were laid, as well as outlets to discharge rainwater from the roof through French drains into hoppers and normal external down pipes.

Copper Roof Alternative following theft at Oliver Bird Hall, Solihull

Copper roofing theft had caused considerable damage to the roof of the Oliver Bird Hall in Solihull, a community hall in a conservation area near Birmingham in the West Midlands.

The Local Council granted planning permission for the rear elevation roof to be coated in liquid membrane. Unusually, the decision was then made to remove the entire roof, allowing work to progress easily and without the need for scaffolding.
