This rural new-build hideaway in Kendal in the picturesque Lake District, Cumbria (LA9) has to be one of the most beautiful jobs we've had. The house overlooks woodlands and a small body of water, making it perfect for a rooftop terrace area.

The owners of this new roof settled on a 25 year Polyroof Protec polymer roof system in a special signal grey colour - a natural stone colour that fits well with the local environment.

The terrace will also have a green roof fitted at a later date, so the house blends in even more with the magnificent scenery of the Northwest. The polymer system provides the ideal base for green roofing (whether turfs, sedum or other 'garden' plants) - forming a jointless and seamless fully-waterproof substrate which is long-lasting, strong and extremely high-performance.
