Unlike many roofing contractors, when we say we work year round, we mean it. We don't stop working over the winter.
The unique qualities of polymer roofing mean we're not as dependent on the weather as most roofers. We still track weather fronts carefully, but there are only a couple of times in the year when the weather is so bad that we cannot work - and that's usually due to torrential rain, rather than winter cold.
How is this possible?
This question is best answered by asking why it isn't possible for most roofers to do the same - they would if they could, since winter is very often the worst time for roofs. The combination of short daylight hours, cold fronts, rain and wind basically mean that a job that would take them 5 days in the summer could easily take them 3 or 4 times that in the winter. Add in the ongoing costs of usually heat-applied roofing systems and, especially where roofing contractors are travelling to a roof with a whole team, having to accommodate them somewhere and pay everyone, it becomes financially not-viable.
Polymer roofing is different. It's cold-applied (which also means huge reductions in toxic gases), uses upgraded modern materials that adhere to any substrate and 'cure' quickly, meaning the whole installation process is fast enough that we can work between weather fronts. Under ordinary weather circumstances, this means we can usually work faster than other companies (often repairing or refurbishing a whole roof in one day) - saving you money.
In less ideal weather circumstances, it still means we can stay ahead of problems. The modern, high-performance materials cost us more, but they save more in crucial time and labour costs. Coupled with good planning and organisation, and careful weather tracking, this means we can continue to repair and refurbish roofs all winter long (except in the very worst conditions).
This saves you money at almost every point:
- No paying teams of builders for weeks of on-off work
- No sitting there while your roof problem gets worse and, therefore, more expensive to fix
- No paying for other repairs or inconvenience caused by water ingress (or other problems)
- AND you get a high-spec roof that will last for years (see some of the advantages of polymer roofing here)
So, wherever you are in the UK (including Highlands & Islands), whatever the month, and whatever your roof problem is, we can repair it quickly, without mess or hassle, genuinely year-round. Your roof will have a seamless, jointless finish that's fully weatherproof and fireproof, alongside 20 year protection against wind, water and weather.
