Flat Roof Insurance

Thu, 26/10/2017

There are many types of flat roof - traditionally including fibreglass, felt, asphalt and bitumen, asbestos and fibre cement, coil or plastic-coated metal sheeting, and ply. All of these suffer their own disadvantages (click here for an overview) all of which can affect insurance in different ways. Multiple fixes over the years can even result in a "patchwork roof" comprising a variety of roof types and a lot of confusion around insurance.

The polymer flat roof system is jointless, seamless, long-lasting, high spec, and guaranteed for the period you choose. It has none of the health and safety issues associated with e.g. fibreglass or asbestos, and contracts and expands naturally to allow for changes in humidity and heat. From an insurance point of view, it is also fireproof, UV proof, weatherproof and theftproof.

We are one of the few roofing companies in the UK able to offer a fully insurance backed warranty. The warranty automatically covers the roof for 10 years (extendable to 20) and is transferable to new owners if you come to sell your property.
