This amazing new build timber frame house in Milford Haven, in Pembrokeshire (South West Wales SA73) had some very specific requirements.

First, very high insulation was needed (read more about government-set heat retention U-values here) as well a strong, highly durable and fully waterproof substrate to allow creation of a warm roof suitable for use as a green roof.

Second, the house needed a terrace balcony area suitable for 20mm porcelain tiles and pedestals. The terrace required insulation, in line with building regulations, but also had a low patio door threshold, meaning the insulation would need to be accommodated within a short-rise.

We used ultra-thin Deck-VQ Ultra Low Profile insulation, which offers high compressive strength and industry-leading U-values, making it ideal for all flat roof and terraces where limited deck height is an issue but high thermal performance is still needed.

The final result looks fantastic, as we're confident you'll agree - and comes with a 20 year installation & material guarantee!
