JULY SPOTLIGHT - Roof Terraces in Conservation Areas

We often hear from owners of roofs within conservation areas, who are subject to particularly strict regulations when it comes to making alterations. This new terrace conversion in Holland Park in West Kensington W11, London, provides a good example - with regulations requiring that the owners meet certain standards for renting out the property, but also limiting the alterations they could make.

The polymer system was very much up to the job - being able to provide cut-to-fall (CTF) tapered warm roof insulation, tapered in a new fall direction, as well as especially low U-values (the rate at which heat is transferred through insulation material, so the lower the value, the more insulated it is).
