Lead Theft from Llandrindod Wells Church Roof

Mon, 30/10/2017

Owing to their size, history, and relative isolation, churches are often targets for metal roof theft. One of our more recent call-outs was to a beautiful church in Llandrindod Wells in Mid Wales, which had had large amounts of lead stolen including nearly all of its lead elevations.

For many in this situation, the idea of reroofing using lead can feel both expensive and pointless (metal thieves may just take it again)

Polymer roofing provides an theftproof (anti-theft) roof which mimics the look of lead so accurately that it is also known as "liquid lead", allowing churches and other historic buildings to retain a beautiful traditional look without further risk of theft.
