Spring into a Polymer Roof Garden

Thu, 29/02/2024

Spring is finally springing and with it, hopefully, some calmer weather!

After a pretty stormy February, we've seen a LOT of roof damage - which means water ingress, lifted tiles, damaged joists and more. Untreated, these things WILL result in problems, both to the roof structures and potentially to property/contents below.

Unlike other systems, polymer roofing forms a jointless, seamless seal over the roof's entire surface, including upstands, so water cannot get in. In addition, it bonds to the underlying substrate, so the roof cannot be lifted by wind (also making roofs theftproof - a consideration for copper/lead replacement roofs).

It's also the time of year where thoughts may turn to the outdoors - barbecues, outdoor dining, growing veggies or just sitting outside with a nice cuppa. Balconies and roof terraces are enjoying a bit of a resurgence in the UK at the moment, with people choosing to add to their homes rather than move or splash out on expensive holidays that are over in 2 weeks.

We've worked on a lot of balconies and roof gardens, and know what they need. Basically: good drainage, a secure, mainatainable surface, durability and excellent weatherproofing. In addition to meeting all these points, polymer balconies are high spec, quick to install, fireproof, jointless and seamless, and more affordable than equivalent systems. We can even help you personalise your balcony with a range of anti-skid quartz colourings, turf roofing and more.
