What a Balcony Can Do for Your Summer

Mon, 27/07/2015

With tighter finances, scorching early summer temperatures and more hot weather to come over the Summer holidays (if weather forecasters are right this year), the Age of the British Balcony has come at last! After a surge in interest in new & resurfaced balconies over the last 2 months, what we've heard time and again during repairs & installations is that the balcony is no longer seen as somewhere to shove a few patio plants and some plastic chairs in case the rain stops for a few weeks - it seems the British are getting Mediterranean! People want glowing chimineas, lemon plants, iron barbecues, nice tables and chairs for the whole family (or just for reading the newspaper and drinking coffee in the morning). It's now become an essential link between the outdoors and the indoors, somewhere to enjoy a green oasis of fruits, foods & flowers, a summer dining area for families and friends, a break from the indoors, from TV and from the computer. Take a look at what we can do for your balcony here or if you're lucky enough to have a large rooftop space, why not see about transforming it into a roofgarden? Read more about both here>
