Flat Roofs

Flat Roofing is our speciality. From garage roofs to green roofs, from school cabins to hospitals, to a sedum-planted Embassy roof, the National Library of Wales Plant Room, hotel complexes and a rooftop mini-golf course. Our pioneering liquid polymer system is hassle-free, affordable, durable and high performance. We use self-levelling roofing compounds where required, can taper insulation and drainage and line for planting if desired. What's more, we can usually fix or refurbish a flat roof IN ONE DAY, even between weather fronts, and can get to pretty much any roof in the UK - fast.

This large area was easily covered using the polymer roofing system

This large polymer flat roof on commercial shop premises in Essex, posed no problem for the polymer system despite its size and prominent upstands and walls. As you can see from the photo the polymer system's built-in flexibility creates a level, jointless and seamless finish that is "perfect forming" around details.

As with all our polymer roofs, domestic and commercial, this shop roof was fully mechanically cured within 72 hrs,…

The pre-coated surface with gaps and unevenness

This polymer flat roof on a school outbuilding roof in Essex, was relatively straightforward despite overhanging trees and the (minor) central ventilation pipe. As you can see from first photo the underlying surface had numerous gaps and uneven points, with the later photographs demonstrating how well the polymer system's inherent flexibility levels all of this out, creating a perfect jointless and seamless finish.

As with all our…

The finished roof - fully waterproof & 'perfect forming' around a central skylight

This new roof extension on a roof in Brentwood, Essex, was relatively straightforward despite the prominent central skylight and the fact it adjoins the main roof. The polymer system's inherent flexibility means details and joins are no problem.

As the photo shows, the finished roof is jointless and seamless, and "perfect forming" around the central skylight. It was also fully mechanically cured within 72 hrs, fully waterproof and…

Layered tapering is no problem for polymer roofing

This flat roof on Spear Street in Manchester needed a warm roof installation (click to find out more about warm roofs, cold roofs and flat roofs, or use the nav link above). To ensure good heat efficency, the government set strict U-Values for many types of roof, with lower numbers being better. Using hte polymer system, we were able to achieve a fantastic 0.15 U-Value on this roof.

Take a look through the pictures above to see the…

As we stripped back the roof, problems grew clearer

This roof in Tal-Y-Bont in Ceredigion (between Aberystwyth and Machynlleth) shows what can happen when previous roofers have not fitted a roof to proper standards in accordance with Building Regulations - in this case, serious condensation problems.

All roofs in the UK need to be insulated but the level of insulation depends on whether it's a "warm roof" or a "cold roof", which in turn depends upon factors such as the position of the…

The Existing GRP Roof looked tired and worn

The GRP fibreglass on this adjoined flat roof near Aberystwyth in West Wales was looking tired and patchy, and would have needed replacing entirely before long had the owners not decided upon a preemptive refurb.

As the pictures show, polymer overcoating the existing roof was straightforward - flat roofs are our speciality (though we work equally well with pitched & highly detailed roofs). The new system bonds fully to the GRP…
